Ivan is a multilingual professional with international work experience in North America and Europe and he holds a master degree in Geography and Ecology with expert knowledge in environmental sustainability. In his successful career in Europe, Ivan has coordinated Ecological Land Classification for different regions, generated reports and analyzed and produced related models for well-known organizations including Business Park Sofia which is the largest office park in Southeastern Europe and the first business park in Bulgaria. In Canada, Ivan has successfully worked in a number of supervising and coordinating positions always demonstrating a high level of professionalism, tact, and discretion in executing assigned duties. He has a high level of negotiation and organizational skills and has functioned in jobs that comply with Health & Safety Regulations. In his most recent capacity as a Consulting Arborist, Ivan has accrued a multitude of managerial skills including an understanding of client relations, management operations, business planning and creative problem-solving. As an individual, he is proactive, persistently delivers top-level service, and most importantly, he thrives in diverse, fast-paced work settings building on his strong personal and managerial work ethic, exemplary soft skills and excellent organizational skills which all emanate from his project management abilities.​

With more than eight years' experience in the Environmental field, he is adept in all aspects of horticulture, arboriculture, Tree By-laws and Urban Forestry tree planting and protection requirement policies. He excels at:

  • Preparing arborist-report-associated tasks as follows: conduct client consultations, complete tree inventories, develop tree preservation plans, advise on possible site plan modifications, develop replanting plans, perform tree appraisals where applicable, and communicate directly with urban forestry and/or relevant conservation authority.

  • Analyzing topographic surveys, layouts, and elevations on all assigned projects.

  •  Extensive knowledge with all municipal planning policies, Tree By-laws and Urban Forestry tree planting and protection requirement policies.

  • Conducting arborist supervision for all root pruning and exploratory excavations.

  • Meeting with  Architects, developers, various City departments, elected officials and the public to assess possible impacts of proposals, i.e. landscape plans, tree removals, and resolves problems related to proposals.
